On January 12th, 2026, Cindy Garvey marked an extraordinary milestone: 28 years as a United Country Real Estate franchise owner and over 35+ years in real estate overall. Her journey is one of courage, perseverance, and an unwavering love for the Tennessee lifestyle she proudly helps others find.
More than three decades ago, Cindy left the rolling hills of Southern Indiana and made her way to Middle Tennessee, drawn by its natural beauty, character, and promise. Working in Brentwood at the time, she could only afford land in Leiper’s Fork, a decision that would shape not only her life but her legacy. What began as a practical move became a defining moment, grounding her in a community that would one day become both her passion and her purpose.
Living in the country revealed something special to Cindy, a slower, richer rhythm of life that so many long for. She saw others searching for that same sense of peace and connection, and with gentle encouragement to “give real estate a try,” she discovered her calling. Helping others find the place that felt like home became not just her career but her mission.
As her passion grew, Cindy searched for a company that aligned with her love for rural property, community, and authenticity. That search led her to the United Farm Agency in Kansas City, Missouri, a company founded in 1925 and later evolved into United Country Real Estate, now the nation’s #1 leader in land sales.
For over a century, United Country has endured through the Great Depression, world wars, recessions, and volatile markets, all while staying true to its mission of connecting people with property and opportunity. Recently, the company was recognized as a 2026 Top Franchise, underscoring its strength and stability in a changing market.
Cindy joined that legacy 28 years ago, founding United Country Real Estate | Leipers Fork, and since then has built one of the most respected offices in the entire franchise system. Today, her brokerage proudly ranks among United Country Real Estate’s Top 10 offices nationwide, a reflection of her team’s hard work, deep expertise, and client-first commitment.
Her office at 4151 Old Hillsboro Road, nestled in the heart of the Leiper’s Fork Village, or “Hillsboro,” as longtime locals still call it, is itself a piece of living history. Built by Bruce and Marty Hunt, the structure was lovingly constructed from original materials salvaged from 1800s homes in Missouri. Its centerpiece, a hand-hewn antique staircase, became the foundation for the entire building. The result is a space that perfectly preserves the authentic, old-soul aesthetic of Leiper’s Fork, mirroring the village as it appeared over a century ago and as it still feels today.
Within those storied walls, Cindy leads a team of dedicated agents who share her vision: to be the premier resource for rural, residential, and lifestyle properties in Middle Tennessee, while providing service rooted in sincerity and local connection.
Cindy’s expertise stretches from hilltops to hollows, winding creeks to sprawling farmland. She’s known for doing business the way Tennesseans live, with heart, grit, and authenticity. Clients often find her exploring properties by Can-Am, ensuring they experience every acre firsthand. She doesn’t just list properties; she tells their stories.
At home, Cindy and her husband, Eddie Wilson, have built their own haven along the South Harpeth Creek, where they tend to their small farm, complete with a pick-your-own blueberry patch, miniature donkeys, and two loyal Australian Shepherds, Roscoe and Daisy. Their beloved German Shepherd, Emmylou, now watches over them from above, still a presence, still part of the heart of home.
For Cindy, real estate has never been just about sales or success. It’s about stewardship, connecting people to the land, community, and lifestyle that bring meaning to their lives. She understands what it takes to live this way, because she’s living it herself.
As United Country Real Estate celebrates over 100 years of service and Cindy Garvey celebrates 28 years as a franchise owner and more than 35 years in real estate, her story continues to embody the spirit of endurance, integrity, and heart that defines both her and the brand she represents.
Here’s to Cindy Garvey, her legacy, her leadership, and her love for the land that built it all.
